first of all--i have to say...i love this. love that all of our stories are coming together for an interesting intersection in this life. i hope we all step to this challenge and follow thru. i've never known anyone to FINISH this book so let's all be the FIRST...i love a challenge:)

i am 28 years old...literally just had to count that on my fingers:) my husband eric and i have been together for 15...yes i said 15 years! we met when we were 12 and 13 and have had a roller coaster of a relationship since. we've been married for 8 of those 15 years. 8 years that i have learned more about myself then i ever wanted to know. we are very much alike...both strong willed and high strung and our lives collide a bit like a train and a mac truck;) But God and His grace are alive in our lives!!! softening edges, quieting tempers, daily asking us to look more like Him. it's so much work! and (cliche i know) so worth it! so so worth it.

we've journeyed over some rough roads this last year...an affair, a career change, joblessness, and so much more. we've rebuilt our marriage from the ground up. tearing down the jr high ideas of what a relationship looks like and starting over...with Him in the middle. everyday we find new places where grace fits perfect.

so all of that aside...here is what you really need to know about me...i am terrible at loving anyone other than myself. i want to seek Him and feel His love and learn to give it away to my husband and everyone around me. right now i suck at that. i wanna do this challenge as a way to press forward. i hope to become a little more like Him by the end of these 40 days. hey, He can work miracles, right?!?
