i shared with the group today that these past two days have been a harsh mirror for me. i'm like a severly overweight person who just found a mirror for the first time in 5 years. and i'm in tears. and i'm in shock at the way i look. and i know something HAS to change but it looks hopeless.
that's how the challenges to be patient and kind have struck me.
i'm broken hearted at how bad i am at loving others. i'm asking Him over and over to fix what is impossible for me to fix in my own heart. and putting one foot in front of the other...
this is tough stuff. but i wanna be different in 40 days. i don't wanna look the same. so i press on.
and try to think of something kind to do today...

Lexi - this analogy resonated w/ me, thank you for sharing it. I can totally relate on all levels. Thanks also for the encouragement on how to love my creative husband. You helped me think outside of the 'practical' act of kindness which I had done prior to group and felt like it just didn't cut it. So, here's to tonight, and jumping into his world of photographs, photography, and creativity!:) -Sue
